Eamonn O'Donnell

Regional Director - Scotland and North England (West)

I see myself as an honest, loyal, trustworthy and straight-talking individual. I take great pride in seeing a team succeed in a common objective. I enjoy engaging and working together with our clients to move things forward to find the best solutions on projects. I try to give clear directions and support to my team whilst also happy to jump in to offer guidance or roll up my sleeves if required to ensure the success of the team.

My journey with Careys started in 2007, joining as a Project Manager after spending five years as a Site Engineer at Dunne Group. I spent around five years as a Project Manager before becoming Contracts Manger in 2012, where I spent another five years in this role, before becoming Head of Delivery in 2017.

In my role as Head of Delivery I was proud to have worked as part of a high performing team who delivered a number of large-scale projects all over Scotland that included the Learning and Teaching Hub at the University of Glasgow, Aberdeen ECC Hospital, Scottish Water Headquarters, Anderson high school in Shetland and Barcaldine Salmon Hatchery in Oban Scotland, to name a few.

In March 2019 I moved over to Ireland to take up the position of Operations Director where I was able to bring my experience in delivering design and build projects, concrete frames and large specialist schemes to the Irish market. Working with the local team I was proud to be involved in several large projects which included Ballyvouskill – Coomataggart 110Kv Cable installations, Grousemount Windfarm in County Kerry, N59 road in County Mayo and the O’Devaney Gardens social housing project in Dublin.

In my current role as Regional Director - Ireland, I’m responsible for operational delivery across a wide variety of projects in Ireland. Working in close collaboration with the support teams across the company, I help to ensure effective management of resources and development of operational teams and client relationships.
