My role as a leader is to support and nurture my team to assist the business in delivering its strategy and day-to-day operations. To ensure we have an environment where our Supply Chain feels valued and understands where they fit into the wider Careys team, to deliver exceptional service, innovation and help us meet our ESG goals.
What I enjoy most about my role at Careys is the challenges and diversity of the work we deliver and the interaction with the different teams, from bidding a project to its successful handover.
With over 40 years of experience in the civil engineering and construction sector, I’ve been at Careys for 4 years and I’ve been fortunate to have worked with great teams responsible for delivering some of the UK’s most challenging and rewarding projects. This experience has reinforced to me the importance of building and maintaining Strong Supply Chains who are fundamental to the success, performance and growth of Careys.
For me, leadership is supporting our teams to facilitate operational excellence above and beyond industry standards and helping to develop the talent we have across the business. I look forward to seeing the next generation develop and lead the business to build on its heritage and continue to prosper in the future.
Quality time with my family is important to me. I keep active, going to the gym or walking the dogs in the countryside. Travel is my passion.
