Regional HSSQ Advisor

The HSSQ function seeks to enable, support, and guide the operational management of HSSQ on our projects.

Our strategy for delivering a positive health, safety, and well-being culture of continual improvement is encapsulated in our behavioural safety programme, Safe Home Every Day (SHED), which goes beyond compliance into best practice. SHED is not a set of rules to follow, but a culture that the Careys leadership team is committed to. SHED is cascaded down to every member of staff - a culture where there is never a reason to take shortcuts, rush, or complete unplanned works that could place ourselves, colleagues, clients, fellow contractors, or the public at risk. We have a responsibility to ourselves, our colleagues, and our families to put safety first and to ensure we get ‘Safe Home Every Day’.

The purpose of this role is to provide specialist HSSQ advice, support, and compliance across all Careys projects within the Scotland and North England region. Each day will be different from the next; especially in personal interactions and working across multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced, high risk and ever-changing environment. The role requires core personal attributes that are consistent with ‘The Carey Way,’ applying these effectively to build relationships and become a true HSSQ partner with operational leaders, clients, enforcing authorities and project and public stakeholders.

Multiple projects across the Scotland and North England region.
