This newly created role is responsible for mobilising the workforce management function within Careys to include oversight of all operational worker types, increasing the productivity and efficiency of our workforce using automation and analytics.

What you will be doing:


Planning & Analytics

  • Produce high-quality workforce data and information to support workforce planning and monitoring.
  • Effective strategic and tactical resource forecasting to ensure accurate scheduling of resources to meet seasonal workload demand.
  • Provision of timely, accurate and relevant reporting to support business processes with a view to review, prioritise, streamline, and automate existing operational reporting ensuring the reports that are produced provide high value with minimal manual effort
  • Become a trusted partner, creating, different workforce management scenarios and advising on a recommended pathways

Supplier Management

  • Manage third-party suppliers including and direct contractors


Business Process development

  • Accountable for workforce management systems including On-boarding/off-boarding of operations colleagues and Time and Attendance
  • Responsible for deploying operational training
  • Ensure compliance with regulator, safety, and legal requirements
  • Chair internal workforce management meetings to include performance indicators and provide expert recommendations to maximize key KPIs.
  • Liaison with Group Services

Continual Improvement

  • Monitor workforce management, operational and systems and proactively identify opportunities and assist in the implementation of system enhancements
  • Lead workforce improvement projects and provide strategic recommendations
  • Standardize processes across departments so that the entire company operates the same way

Advise and consult with stakeholders (Operations, HR, Finance and Commercial) on long-term and short-term workforce strategy.

Commercial

Making recommendations to optimise the skills in appropriate geographies (on our projects) and scaling up and down projects in a timely manner

About You:

  • Ideally, you will have experience across Construction/Civil engineering with related experience in workforce management software
  • Experience in development and managing the implementation of new systems and processes
  • Advanced Excel (Power Pivot)
  • High-level written and verbal communication
  • Highly analytical
