About The Opportunity

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial management of a high profile renewable energy project in Lincolnshire. The project’s scope includes a superstructure, sitewide works, drainage and foundation slabs.

Responsibilities Include:

With guidance and support from the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have:

  • Responsibility for the day to day administration of the commercial function of the Project, i.e. cost management reporting and supporting, change management, procurement as well as Sub-contract/special supplies administration
  • A deep understanding of the project’s contractual and commercial requirements, including contractual compliance, quality and risk management
  • A thorough understanding and competent execution of the monthly reconciled values and updated forecasts for approval by the Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor
  • A sound understanding around the valuations cycle and associated deadlines, prioritising and managing both your own as well as the team’s time accordingly
  • Confidence and competency, with minimal input from the Commercial Manager/Senior Commercial Manager with dispute resolution and contractual entitlement
  • The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with and effectively interfaced at peer level with Carey's clients to agree valuations and variations
  • Interface with and form productive effective relationships with the site team(s) and the client team

About You

The successful candidate will be a confident and reliable Surveyor with a strong construction background, ideally from a principal contracting background, and will support our Senior Surveyor on the project. You will be commercially astute, with a flair for building relationships with clients, contractors and peers alike.

  • Responsible for the day to day administration of the commercial function of the Project(s)
  • Demonstrates a sound understanding around the valuations cycle and associated deadlines, prioritising and managing both their own and the team’s time accordingly
  • Interface with and form productive effective relationships with the site team(s) and the client team
  • Successfully interpreting information obtained from the site team(s) for incorporation into the account
  • Demonstrate inspirational leadership of the Commercial team around supporting, mentoring and coaching Graduates, Trainees and AQS’s, proactively assisting with their role specific training and development
