This year marks Careys’ 50th anniversary. The attainment of this significant milestone – and the amazing growth that we’ve experienced over the past five decades – would have been hard to predict back in 1969, when our three founders first established the company.

Last Saturday, our original Ford Mark 1 transit van, which dates back nearly as long as The Carey Group, debuted for the first time at the famed Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire, England. It proudly showcased the distinctive Carey yellow colour scheme and blue logo in front of thousands of attendees at a premier horseracing event being held at this renowned venue.

From humble beginnings

To help commemorate our 50th anniversary, we've lovingly restored this original, classic Ford Mark 1 transit van, which would have first been put to work nearly half a century ago. This vehicle both reminds us of our humble beginnings and offers a tangible testament to the hard work and dedication that our three founders used to build Careys.

Our renovated classic van is a living symbol of our history. It represents one of the first items of plant and fleet that our founders purchased, back in the early years, when the company was just being formed and preparing to expand.

Offering a group of integrated services

After 50 years in business – helping to create some of the nation’s most iconic buildings – our distinctive yellow livery is well known and respected on sites across the country.

Today, we provide a wide range of specialist construction services, across multiple sectors, throughout the UK and Ireland. These currently include – asbestos removal, demolition, civil engineering, dry lining, house building and resource recovery.

Be on the lookout for our classic Ford Mark 1 transit van over the next 7 months. It will be touring around to our various sites throughout the UK.
