Awarded Specialist demolition contractor by client Mace, the team delivered a wide range of works demolishing approximately 10,500m2 of the existing floor area. Works included façade retention, structural steel temporary bracing and propping to existing floors to allow for safe demolition. With consideration for nearby retailers including Marks & Spencer, Thornton’s and H&M we coordinated works to mitigate disruption.

Following exceptional delivery of works, we were subsequently awarded construction of the upper composite concrete floors covering approximately 14,000m2 and the in-situ concrete basement works. Exemplar levels of health and safety have been delivered with bespoke Carey Way standards being implemented. For our efforts, Mace awarded Scudder as one of the top three contractors for on-site health and safety three months in a row.
