Anti-Slavery Day

At the Carey Group we are committed to conducting business with honesty and integrity; treating all people with dignity and respect as well as complying with applicable laws, regulations and treaties. Our aim is to improve our practices to combat modern slavery and human trafficking, ensuring all our employees can help spot the signs of modern slavery in a safe and secure way.

Over the past two years our teams have produced a range of materials to raise awareness of modern slavery which includes:

• Publishing our ‘Doing the right thing’ guide, which includes sections on adhering to the National Living Wage, and protecting and promoting human rights
• A Modern slavery huddle that meets every two weeks
• Dedicated Modern Slavery landing page on our intranet with dedicated resources
• Posters on modern slavery signs in English, Polish, Punjabi and Romanian
• Bespoke modern slavery awareness video
• Links to other useful resources including SCSS and Stronger together, GLAA websites
• Tool box talks on modern slavery and how to spot the signs
