Imperial College London, bridge demolition works

Our project as Principal Contractor for our client Imperial College London at their White City Campus required the demolition of a bridge over Transport for London's Central line, where record drawings show the bridge had been in situ for over 70 years.

After months of detailed planning for this intricate task, our team started the breaking works whilst working over an operational Central line, as captured in our short video below

In our next video we’ll share the moment the final beams, each weighing over 30 tonnes, were removed in a series of complex lifts involving a mobile crane and specialist teams during night time closures of the Central line.
