As the construction industry continues to grow and change there’s been a much welcomed influx in diversity both on site and in office.

With this comes a range of cultures, religions and beliefs. Recognising and respecting these differences isn’t just the right thing to do - it’s essential to building a workplace where everyone feels valued, safe, and able to thrive.

At Careys, we are always aspiring to create an environment where every individual feels supported and included, an environment built on respect through everyday actions, open conversations, and visible leadership. We want to make sure that the Carey Group is a great place to work, which is why its one of our strategic goals.

This week, our Diversity & Inclusion Council spoke with several managers from across the Group to hear their thoughts on what respect in the workplace means to them, and how we can continue to champion inclusion across all our sites and offices.

Today, we hear from Contracts Manager John Kearney.
