The CCS, set up in 1997, aims to improve the image of the construction industry whereby companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements.

After two consistently impressive visits to the site from the CCS, the team were awarded the ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ certificate for scoring a minimum of 7 points on each of the five sections of the scheme’s code of considerate practice; appearance, community, environment, safety and workforce.

Tom Ogden, Project Manager, Scudder Demolition commented,

Our package of work includes demolition, structural alterations, groundworks, drainage, steel erection, cladding, structural glazing, multi-storey carpark resurfacing and landlords fit out works in addition to the installation of new M&E infrastructure. To be awarded the ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ certificate on such a project signifies the excellent effort from all the team working in Highcross, Leicester.

Having delivered a range of works at Highcross Shopping Centre over the past year and giving back to the community with their works at Sandfield Close Primary school, Scudder Demolition have demonstrated their commitment towards the schemes code of best practice.
