Canal-side apartments

Located in a lively and modern community, close to Manchester’s city centre, Potato Wharf boasts character with its unique contemporary design. Comprised of one- and two-bedroom canal-side apartments, the development offers forward thinking and sustainable features including:

- Electric vehicle charging points

- Allocated cycle space for each property

- A communal landscaped courtyard

Conveniently located, Potato Wharf enables residents to enjoy the green tranquil landscape, alongside the vibrance of local shops and restaurants, with accessible transport links to main cities such Liverpool, Birmingham and London.

Our scope of works

Careys has been awarded superstructure works on phase two of the four-block development – constructing blocks three and four. We are currently trialling BAMTEC floor steel reinforcement – an advanced and economical system for surface reinforcement, for the interface of double height columns. Use of this technology facilitates high quality finishes and enables efficiency and time benefits in line with our programmed schedule of works.

Over the coming weeks, we will be delivering our most critical phase of works on the project, where we’ll be constructing a falsework deck over the only live access to the site. Which will require daily coordination between the logistics and construction teams, to ensure the smooth and safe delivery of works.

Consistency in our approach

In line with our approach to deliver our projects safely and to an exceptional standard, our consistent approach has led to us winning and attracting more good work. We were thrilled to win our scope of works at Potato Wharf following the excellent performance from the wider team at Manchester New Square – the residential development of 350 one, two and three-bedroom apartments in Manchester.
