Justice
Our experience in the justice sector includes delivering major projects within the New Prisons Programme and refurbishment of the existing estate.
Our teams have significant experience in delivering projects and services within secure regimes and understand the unique challenges encountered when working within these environments, as demonstrated on our current projects at HMP Welland Oaks - a 1,700-place Category B prison located next to the existing HMP Gartree in Leicestershire, and HMP Glasgow - a new custodial facility being built to replace the existing HMP Barlinnie, currently the largest prison in Scotland.
Operating in secure facilities we take the utmost care and attention to ensure the wellbeing of our team, prisoners, and staff alike. From obtaining security clearances to checking people’s wellbeing, we do all we can to reduce the impact of working in these facilities, ensuring safe and secure delivery of the projects scope.
We want to leave a positive legacy as part of our commitment to help reduce offending. We develop and invest in programmes to help reduce offending such as training and job opportunities for ex-offenders. We believe everyone deserves a second chance.
We have established relationships with various organisations such as RMF and Bounceback in supporting ex-offenders into work by offering ROTL opportunities to those nearing the end of their sentence.
We are proud members of Ban the Box, removing questions around previous offences and convictions from our recruitment processes at the initial stages of a recruitment campaign. This encourages everyone to apply for our roles, removing barriers and encouraging ex-offenders into work.
I visited Gartree today, what an excellent start to the job, well set up, collaboration and standards are all at the high level we need on this hob. Great to see.
