To celebrate Careys Foundation’s 10th anniversary and coinciding with ‘Activity Week’, Thursday 23rd June saw the return of our fund raising event – Spin Bike Challenge.

23rd June is International Women in Engineering Day #INWED and to celebrate this we’ve an insight from four engineers working at Careys, taking a look at the different roles they perform and the advice they’d give to other women thinking of a career in engineering:

Milton Keynes College is one of the largest employers in the local area with over 1,400 staff, as well as being the largest education provider in the area with over 6,000 students attending to study hundreds of different courses and subjects.

Careys have been awarded an enabling package of works at the Kelvin Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in West Bromwich, West Midlands, by Principal Contractor Acconia, on behalf of client, Enfinium.

The Secklow Gate site on Avebury Boulevard close to the centre of the town, will be developed to deliver 329 PRS flats, across four buildings varying up to 11-storeys in height.

Careys were awarded a utilities and design and build infrastructure package at the Perry Barr Residential Scheme (PBRS) in Birmingham, which is managed by Lendlease on behalf of the client, Birmingham City Council.

Careys are proud to have completed a seven-day continuous slipform pour with London Concrete and GB Slipform, consisting of 3,300 cubic metres of concrete, for SSE and joint venture partner CIP.
