Careys delivered works on an ambitious design and build contract in Wellesley, Aldershot, including a full civils package which included works on the substructures, foundations, drainage, frames, hard landscaping and street furniture, to build 107 homes, on behalf of client, Grainger - the UK’s largest provider of modern rental homes.

Initially, over a five-year period, we delivered a range of infrastructure packages and roads, which prepared the former army site for redevelopment. We were subsequently awarded a further contract to build 107 homes – a combination of apartments and houses – in the Gunhill Zone of the 110-acre development.

Self-delivery of 107 high-quality new homes – a combination of apartments and houses in the Hampshire countryside

The recently completed new neighbourhood, which has been constructed on former army garrison land in Aldershot, offers 3,850 rental properties – including a range of one and two bedroom low-rise apartments, and three and four bedroom houses, complete with modern amenities and appliances. In addition, this community features six refurbished listed buildings, a variety of local facilities, several green spaces and two primary schools.

We have self-delivered 107 high-quality new homes designed in partnership with our architect. Our responsibilities included completing works on the substructures, foundations, drainage, frames, hard landscaping and street furniture. We worked in tandem with fellow Carey Group company, BDL, which supplied numerous dry lining packages.

We also coordinated the completion of the rest of the works associated with this project, which were carried out by sub contractors that we had specifically selected in order to ensure that every aspect of the project was delivered to the meticulously high standards that we demand of ourselves.
