Working in a live port environment, our teams have delivered two critical industrial projects at the Port of Tilbury - in the first slipforming was combined with conventional formwork and precast elements to create the first major concrete grain silo facility built in the UK for half a century, whilst our second project saw the construction of a new cementitious products importation and distribution facility (annual capacity 730k tonnes) to help meet rising demand for low carbon construction solutions.
Further industrial works include delivering enabling and concrete structures works at a 46,000m² site for a subsea cable factory to support the growth of the UK renewable energy market
Such is the depth of our expertise in the industrial sector, we proudly delivered the UK's first mining project in over three decades, Woodsmith Mine, where our team sunk a vertical shaft using a slip form system to a depth of 120 metres below ground, creating a world record in the process.
Our projects for GSK, AstraZeneca, CocaCola, Amazon, Sainbury's, Vauxhall, BMW and Jaguar Land Rover has seen us build a diverse portfolio of industrial and pharmaceutical structures, including large logistics warehouses, production and manufacturing facilities and distribution centres, each with specifications unique to their location and sector.
